I plan on ordering an XP2100+ this week.

I've decided to wait for the T-Bred to "Mature" a bit before jumping on that bandwagon.

I will be unlocking the 2100+ as soon as it hits my desk..(Naturally)

Is this beast the same as the previous XP's..??

I mean..are the L1's the only bridges to gap??

Are there any others that may look to limit my top clock speed???

Thanks
Larry

The oc'er will succeed, they just have to come down (alot) in price before I give it a go. This is also the first unlock. Wait awhile and others will come up with ideas as well. Who knows, there may end up being an easier method. Figure right now the only "hairy" part is the cutting.

Question remains....

With the method the 2100+ is locked..
does it preclude any LOWER multiplyers?

I mean...if it's locked to 13X...or some such..
does that mean the MAX multiplyer is 13 but any setting under 13 is wide open to selection??

I'd prefer to run 165 FSB *11.5 anyway!

I believe that 133 * 13 is where the chip was supposed to run...

Are LOWER multiplyers also locked out??

I've read some forums on this..and have not gotten a solid answer!

Thanks
Larry

It is my understanding after reading the article that unlocking it makes the lower multipliers available. This of course is beneficial.
