Is there really a benefit to unlocking the Xp/Mp 1900 or 2000?
I have read in places that the max multiplier for both chips are 12.5 unlocked. I have a vapochill setup, and would love to mess with more of a multiplier range but my chip is indeed locked. The only thing holding me back really from a FSB overclock is my regular Mushkin ram. I know I really should get HQ corsair PC 2700. Which I will probably end up doing anyway.

Is it indeed possible to get a higher multiplier with these chips if my mobo can supports a higher multiplier than 12.5?

Yes, with proper cooling and enough voltage, you can go higher. I had a factory unlocked 1800MP up to 13x133 on a MSI Pro-2
