Unsure on which motherboard

right now i have a

motherboard=[rambus][533mhz] gigabyte ga-8ihxp i850e 533 fsb mb w/ audio & lan

in a custom pc....but i don't know anything about motherboards...i just chose the most expensive one..lol...should i go for this one or should i maybe look cheaper for one of similar quality?

Depends on what you want to accomplish. Do you need onboard audio/lan, or do you already have a sound and network card? Do you want RAID? Do you plan on running RDRAM or DDR?

Figure out what you want to do, then pick the mobo that suits it.

As i said i know nothing about a motherboard..i have a soundblaster video card chosen and rambus memory.

i guess i would like soemthing that is upgradeable in the future.

just soemthing good lol...i don't have anything in mind.
