Untailed fan

I have a Sanyo Denki 92mm fan, 3 wire untailed. I'll probably just cannibalize a 4 pin molex connector from an old power supply. If the three fan wires are black, red, and yellow, i want the red and black for power, and the yellow is just rpm monitoring, right?

On the fan:
Red +
Black -
Yellow RPM

Edit: but on the molex you want the Yellow 12v and the black ground next to it.

If you want to keep the rpm monitoring you can use a hard drive jumper just pull out the copper connecter and solder the yellow wire on it (push it through the plastic pc first if you can) then slip the plastic back over it and put it to an empty case fan line off the mobo

how does the yellow wire work exactly anyway? does it put out some voltage or something?
