For a bunch of VB formatting tips click on the blue f.a.q. button above. Go to "Are there any special codes/tags I can use to format my posts and messages?" and click on the "click here" hyperlink. It explains how to do all the cool stuff, maybe I'll read it sometime :) .

today, i got a 1.3 duron and an ecs k7s5a.
I've got the same problems as you. NO POST, blank screen.
There is power though.
Even changed psu's, change/reseated vid cards, changed/re-seated/moved around ram, even switched chips. CPU is good.
returning mobo tomorrow. Cleared cmos, changed battery, and still a NO GO. returning mobo first thing in the morning..

Trty and reseat the vid card. When I first set mine up I had the same problem. it turned out to be the vid card was not seated all the way in even though I thought it was.

Ditto. I've had this problem on several boards. Two ECS, one P4T, and one KR7A. All were corrected by reseating the vid card. A call to a local computer store helped me. The main clue is the "no beep". I don't know why Mobo manuals don't share this. It could save them a lot of RMAs. If you get the same prob on two boards, like the situation in this thread, nine times out of ten it's not the board. Peace.

I took the board to be tested and it will cost me $35-45 in my neck of town.Besides, i'll rather get a new board than pay that much to have it tested.
Anyway, last night i took everything out of the board except the CPU and there was no beep. Is there any else that i can do at this point. :burn:

Thanks MIKE.

yes, i did try reseating the vid card, even switched vid cards.
Pushed it all the way down and hard enough to worry about stressing the vid card and damaging it.
still no luck, even tried a pci card. what gives....

mobos are very sensitive to static electricity.
I just replaced my hsf and next thing I know, no beeps or posts.
The store I bought it from tested it, sd it was shot and replaced it. Good thing it was still under warranty.
