Upgrade from xfx 5850 crossfire

Hi all


Looking to see what my options might be to upgrade from my current setup of two XFX 5850's running crossfire.

Would really like to go to one card instead of crossfire or SLI and has to be able to run two monitors and better performance then the two 5850's together.

For monitors I am running two Hp 27xi monitors

From what i have just been reading on the net, a worthwhile up grade would be to a HD 7970 instead of the Crossfired xfx 5850's.

Ok seems like the 7970 is discontinued or just same version of it.

Correct and the R 290 series has shot up in price due to Bit Coin Mining as well, so maybe you need to look at Nvidia instead.

Look at this and see what you think 4 GB of Vram 256 Bit Gddr5 with ACX COOLER!!

It would be a step in the right direction as Games are getting more Vram Sensitive and this would be a good up grade in that area. Also it would last you some time until you decide to push the button and go for the latest Tech!!
