Hi there,

Ok this is my system i ALREADY HAVE:

Athlon XP 1900+

Soltek 75-FRN (gold one) n-force 2, Dual DDR400 capable

512mb DDR 2700 (333) (running at 166 and in Dual DDR 400 mode)

GForce4 Ti-4400 128mb (overclocked slightly to 310/615)

Maxtor ATA-133 80gb (7200rpm)

+ other miscellaneous bits and bobs.

Now, I have ordered a Athlon ThuroughBread XP 2700+ with 333 FSB. I have done this because then I can run my RAM synchronously to my FSB. SO the FSB will be 166 and the ram will run at 166 too, and at the moment With the old processor I am running at 133 FSB and 166 RAM.
My question is - is it worth the £140 quid? Well i mean the speed will be greater but will it really offer like a %25 increase or so on what i have now? I would expect a rise anyway just from upgrading from a 1.63Mhz machine to a 2.17Mhz machine but does it make good sense?

Thanks for your comments!
