upgrading a celeron

I have a celeron 700 right now and I was interesting in upgrading it to one of the newer ones that run at like 1.3.
what the highest I can upgrade to? or is theier anything special that I need to do first?

First response was accurate. Your present mobo may not support the new Cely's.....your options may be limited. Give us some mobo info and we'll go from there

Depending on your mobo and other components you may have to stick to a coppermine CPU. For the P3 the 1100E (E is for 100Mhz FSB and EB is for 133) is the highest clock speed chip you can go with but the 1000EB would be a better performer. With a cele you can go up to 1.1Ghz

If you want to overclock many people seem to do well with the cele 900 or the P3 1000E
