be nice i am new!:salute:

CPU OC have it down pat using either BIOS or AMD OD 3.1. Now moving to the memory and GPU.

memory first. Want to buy new ram as have crappy samsung 6400 running at 6.6.6.18. Should i upgrade to DDR2 8500 and oc or should I stick with current config and oc that. What can i reasonable expect from 6400? if i upgrade to 8500 (any ideas for DDR2) what can i expect?

i live in hot climate cooling always an issue!

Some more system specs would be more than helpful to us. What mobo are you using, with which CPU, and at what speed (fsb and multi will be helpful here). Also, what is the make and model of your PSU? Any and all specs will be helpful, including cooling. :welcome: to the forums.

take 2

Thanks for reply. my specs are in my sig. Sorry my question was not about how to oc my memory but more about whether i should keep my existing 800mhz ddr2 or replace with high end ddr 1066hz for ocing. i am tempted to replace and go for the 1066mhz range and OC from there..

What can i expect from ocing 1066mhz, if its done right. yes i know that it will depend on a lot of factors but any stats would be great before i begin.:salute:
