Upraded 2100 XP crashing

I am running an A7N8NX nForce. I just recently upgraded to an 2100XP from a 1700XP. I have a Ge4600 Deluxe. Everything runs fine with the upgrade except 3d games(Quake 3, AAO,SPearHead,BHD Delta Force. As soon as the game loads it freezes. I never had any freezing problems before, and when I swap back the 1700XP it runs fine. My temps are 38C-51C...idle-load. My conclusion would be bad cpu...but everything else works fine except 3d-games. Just need some info hence this is a OEM 7-day return.

first of all *whisper* go newegg.com you can RMA it within 14 days i think


anways, did you just throw it in there or did you change your bios, you'll most likely have to change some stuff in your bios

Yep

Yes I did try changing bios settings many times...and I'm stilling trying a few things but, without resolve. 2100 XP...133*13. The thing thats gettin me is that i'm using the CPU right now. I can get quake 3 to run but freezes up randomly. It idles around 36C and temps never go above 46C.

any ideas throw them my way..besides RMA..
