slow as hell they told me 3 business days

Well, it *is* the holidays.

My most recent Newegg order went from California to Tennesse in a day.

...

Folks, I live in Texas. I still haven't gotten my package.

You think that is bad I had a package shipped from NC on last mon and it will not be at my house till next friday

yeh it is the holidays. come on! and what size package is it? if it is big enough then they might have to truck it around.

but yeh, my older bro's birthday was today and we were goign to get a connector for his ipod so that he could play it in his car but noooooo apple hasn't been open for the past few weeks so everybody is sold out! BAh

I guess I have just had good luck with ups. They are my personal favorite. Around here they are best. I have had terrible luck with fedex. Everything from fedex is all dirty and sometimes all crushed corners ect.

Something to keep in mind when shipping

I used to manage a UPS outlet, and it is crazy about how some people pack stuff. To meet UPS standards for packing, the box must be able to withstand a 3 foot drop! I am sure Fed EX has simular requirements. Keep in mind when you ship UPS (my prefered method) (but Fed Ex has worked well also) that a 2 to 3 foot drop is not considered abnormal! Pack your stuff well, or the insurance will not cover it!!

That delivery time with UPS isn't really that surprising. As mentioned, it is the holidays, and also, the last time I had something shipped from the East Coast to where I live in Western Canada, it took even longer than that, with around a 3 day delay from the first scheduled delivery.
I don't really like UPS myself, but really only for the ludicrous Customs brokerage fees they charge for Canadians receiving from the US.

Fedex pwns UPS.

I ordered some parts for my sister's new computer (Which is going to have an NF7-S Rev 2.0.... of course folding for team 32...)

I ordered em the 31st of December. (Newegg of course)

Fedex estimates it will be here by the 7th, but it's already in Baltimore! Woo!

I haven't had too much experience with UPS...

It is pretty simple, if you NEED something to be somewhere by a certain date you have to pay for guaranteed shipping for a certain timeframe. If you only pay for the cheapest shipping method (ground in most cases) then they have expected delivery targets but they are by no means guaranteed delivery times on ground. Ground is affected by lots of things, not the least of which is huge volumes due to things like the holiday shipping rush, because lets face it, 90% of everytone else shipping stuff around the holidays is just like you and wants the cheapest shipping method, so they ship ground too. If you want it there in two days, pay for two day shipping. It isn't the fault of UPS or FedEx or whoever if you choose the cheapest method and it has to be sorted and shipped with the rest of the millions of packages in the same boat.
