apropos of not much, actually there was a thread a while back from someone who had a PSU blowing into the case. possible manufacturing accident?

The original ATX case spec had the PSU fan blowing into the case. The idea was to have PSU exhaust blowing over a passively cooled CPU (1 fan in the entire case.) That didn't last long and the spec was changed pretty quickly.

You can see that the placement of CPU vis-a-vis PSU has stayed, though ...

PS Nothing in your case that you can touch should be "OW" hot to the touch IMO.

according to my A+ book...PSU fans can either be intake or exhaust...and this book is a good 3 years old

I still have an IBM NetVista in exactly that "single blower" configuration.

Once thing you can do if you cant wait until you get your new case is get a ncie can of compressed air @ your local comp store and clean out your case :d they get very dusty!
