I am seriously c.blocked now!. I want to copy stuff off from my D drive and whatever i do, i cant share it. Well technically it is shared but it cant be accessed. Tried sharing individual folders, but the same damned error.

Both 32bit Vistas. Fully updated.

My: Ultimate.

Copying to: Home Premium (Laptop).

Tried plugging the network cable but someone said that you cant do that unless you have a crossover cable. Then again i have a 4 port router and even that doesn't work. Same 'not accessible' error.

Help!.

Try using this method:

start > run > \\PC name with documents that you want copy\d$

The system will ask for authentication, so, write this:

Username: pcname(the same that you wrote in 1st step)\user with admin rights
Password: user password

Let me know if that works

Ok. Finally a video that helped me. I still cant share the whole drive, but now i can access the individual folders. Had to change the Workgroup of both computers to something else.
