Urgent Help Needed

I am working on a project where I am converting audio on a DAT tape over to a Computer, then onto a CD-R disc. I need a good program to rip the audio from the DAT tape to my computer. Any ideas?

P.S. I am using a audio cable going from the headphone to the the Mic port on my computer.

Oh goodness! Don't use the MIC port! Use the Line-In port!

As for programs, I use Cool Edit Pro, but unfortunately, it's not free. Music Match has a Line-In recorder available, but I don't remember if it's available in the free version or not.

hmm....you could try using the 30 day trial of RipEditBurn....that worked well for me. Just search on google, if you can't find it i'm sure i could dig up a link somewhere.

I'm pretty sure you could use Fruity Loops to do it, too.
