Hey-- anyone have one of these??? How do you like it? How compatible is it with OSes. It says it's plug and play compatible but truly, can it just be plugged in and go... or drivers to install? I could use this for transferring files between home and school (really nice cause our school blocks all e-mail), but installing drivers on school machines would get me in a lot of hot water. If anyone knows a bit about these gizmos, please let me know.

hmmm, that does look interesting. Thanks for the heads up.

I use a compact flash disk and a USB sandisk "bug" reader for that kind of tranfer, and it works well, too, but this is defintely snazzier.

I hear they work pretty well, If you are using windows XP you shouldnt have to have any drivers to install, however if u are stuck using win95 you may have some proplems. the sure would make a great alternative to Floppy disks when you need to transport larger files from place to place, esp. if you have usb port on the front of your case:)

There are several different kinds out. Some likie the Sony ones have a chip inside and need no drivers. The others will need drivers for win 98, and win 95. (I am not sure about Win ME). They are cool and it will be goodbye floppy when you can boot from USB:eek:
