My DSL connection went down one morning so I decided to try out the vehicle demo

Before installing the patch I had trouble driving the BullDog around with bots in the map whenever I used Direct3D (default) instead of OpenGL. The patch seems to have addressed these issues.

Some of my UT friends are working on some Capture The Flag and Bombing Run levels that include two of these vehicles and the results should be pretty interesting. The turret on-top fires single rocket rounds and can lock on to the nearest opponent in front of the truck. The missle homes in exactly like the homing capabilities of the regular rocket launcher.

Here's how to load the Vehicle Demo
1. goto INSTANT ACTION or MultiPlayer. (I haven't tested if anyone can join a game when this is loaded)
2. once the level has loaded open the console (TAB or `) and enter
open vehicledemo
3. Press enter and wait for it to load
4. Goto either switch point and the BullDog will spawn
5. get up next it it's side and press USE (the U key)
6. strafe controls steering, forward/back is forward and reverse (forward is gas, back is brake/reverse)
7. Have fun

If your BullDog gets stuck upside down you can exit it by pressing JUMP. Then get near the front or back and press USE again to flip the truck over. QUICKLY get out of the way when trying to flip it over. It will squish and kill you if it rolls over on you.

If you accidentally get it permanently stuck in a pit or (other area that you can't escape from) you'll have to destroy the "BullDog".
It has 800 hit points so that may take a while unless you have the redeemer (2 shots) or the flak cannon (25 shots)

Keep on Truckin'! :D

im gonna have to play about with tthe vehicle demo need to install UT first though i formated not so long ago and havnt got around to it

Just in case you haven't been keeping up with this thread:

I have a CTF map in the rotation that incorporates vehicles that is pretty good. It's name is CTF-mars3000.ut2 if you want to d/l it before going online with it. It's not a perfect map, but it is fun to run over your enemies with the vehicle!

The server name is "mbigna" (no quotes).

You can also summon the Bulldog during a botmatch.

Go to the console and type in ghost
Then type summon vehicles.bulldog
To get out of ghost mode type walk

(be sure to hit enter after you type the commands.)

Have fun :)

LoL I never knew about that map. That is great. I cant wait to see more maps incorprate the vehicles

I think you can send back your broken disk back to the distributor (Atari) and they will replace it for you (probably charge you shipping). They WON'T send you a new key, though.
