I was just playing around with my work laptop and noticed that there were not many entries in hwbot for the Quadro NVS 4200M video card. I am not really familiar with how all of the points system works on hwbot but it seems like I can get a few hw points for each benchmark I complete with this laptop. Is is worth it to put in benchmarks of this stuff, even at stock, just because it is rare on the bot?

Yes it is. You won't get anything in the way of Globals and at most 2 HW Points per bench, but the HW Team Power Points will add up. I believe it is at least 5 HWTPP per submitted bench where you take top spot. :D

Hmm, looks like my Core i7 2720QM is somewhat unique as well :) Thanks for the info.

Yup, I complimented your submissions on hwbot actually, after seeing you grabbed up 30+ team points. :) Even on LN2, it can be hard to gather 50-100 additional team points in one night if you are on common hardware - usually there are already pretty good scores by the team submitted, so we are only adding however many points we beat the last guy by.

For anything never benched before, its just straight points for the team, and it adds up quickly. :)

For example, we are only 600 points away from taking 15th place in the team rankings, and less than 2000 points from being in the top ten. A few people submitting 30+ team points a day, and we'd have 15th place before the week is over, and we'd be in the top ten by February.

Welp, I think I am tapped out for the moment :) Not anything spectacular but I'm glad that I can contribute at least something to the team.

Yeah I need to see what else I can find :) I've scored 30 hw points purely from tapping little-benched hardware. I still need to run some 3D on the netbook I think ... :)

^^^^be ready to face some slideshows :p
i wish i could join you guys for the knowledge...but cant leave moi friends!

I'm not sure if they will add them or not, as I haven't read what their requirements are for adding certain hardware - it appears to be they will add anything someone requests. That makes sense to me, if someone requests the hardware to be added, thats a pretty safe bet that that person will then submit results and grow their database. The database and their score algorithm are the key components that make hwbot what it is.

Awesome, they added both of them and I was able to get 5.2 HTPP per submission  Easy points there!
