I installed a Vantec Fan controller it looks identicle to my Vantec Nexus Fan Controller expect it says Vantec Justy on the face of it.

I double checked and rechecked my wiring on it and everything is fine, but when I turn the fans down it will reboot the machine. I cant seem to figure this damn thing out. I dont have any of the fans hooked to the MB execpt the CPU Fan. I am starting to get a bit miffed at it.

All the fans I am using are low power 80mm fans. So the power should not be an issue. I had all 4 fans running on the PSU by itself without an issue. But the noise was starting to get to be a bit much so we installed the fan controller and now it just keeps shutting down. It only does it when the fans are turned to there lowest speed.

Has anyone else had this problem. We are using a cheepie 450watt PSU that came with my case and I gave it to her. For now I am just going to pull the controller out. I dont want to risk frying something over this.

Are you using any new fans you bought with this controller? try isolating the fan that could be a problem. Make sure the three pin connectors are all plugged in the same. I had a fan once that was wired backwards and caused my system to reboot same as you with a Similiar fan controller. Try one fan with the fan controller, then another and another until you see where the problem is.

-Hope it works out for you

We are using all the same fans that we had in the case before. I am going to try putting the controller into a diffrent case and wire it up like you said with one fan at a time and see what happens.
