I have 3 or 4 vantec stealth 120s brand new in box. Is there any reason people don't really talk about them around here anymore? I did a search and there is not much mention of them....are the no good? I plan on throwing them in my case once I mod some blow holes in my cheiftech.

I have one and its pretty good. They are a bit dated and there is newer, better bearing technology these days.

yeah, as far as fans go they arent so stealthy anymore :D

What are some good quite fans?

I'm looking for some new case fans to replace the stock ones I have and I want a combination of silence and good airflow. Any fans in particular you know of?

Thanks.

If money is not a problem, search high and low for a Noctua NF-S12 1200rpm fan. They are aroudn 20 bucks a pop, but you get what you pay for ;) Other than that, yate loons are the best bang for the buck, scythe s-flex fans are also pretty good.

Cool, thanks.

Yeah, I was looking at the Scythe S-Flex fans, but I think I'll look around for a Noctua now that you mention it. I love the silence.

Yate Loons FTW!

QFT... these fans are THE BEST fans i have ever used... by far the quietest fans i have used... they have the best actual CFM to db ratio i have found.... hell one of these mounted on my ultra 120 got my e6600 to 4ghz... and for 3.50 a piece (only 3bucks each for 3-9 and 2.80 each for 10+) you really cant go wrong..

btw the stealth fan i have is HORRIBLY LOUD.... i mean it produces the WORST clicking motor noise... the fan blade design is horrible, and it spins WAY to fast to even be considered a stealth fan.

I've had stealth fans... even before I got exposed to truly quiet fans like the Nexus, I found the Stealth 120mms to suck *** even undervolted. Get some YLs and undervolt them, and you should be good to go.
