Very slow FPS in 3DMark2001 nature test

I'm really puzzled as to why my fps in the nature test of 3dmark2001 suddenly got so slow. It's been up to 112fps in the test until a a few days ago but it's gone downto 90fps max. I'm referring to the fps while the test is running not the final score for the test. All the other test (car chase, dragothic and lobby) are ok.
Any suggestions? I've already uninstalled and re-installed 3dmark2001 but get the same results. this low fps in nature is causing my scores to go down to the low 12000 range.

Are you running XP? Something has changed in your setup...try a system restore to a point before the slowdown happened if you still have it enabled.

which driver? and youll probly need to backtrack any changes you made in the bios or vid clocks
