VIA 4in 1 drivers...

When installing the 4 in 1 drivers, do you simply click on the .exe. program? This will install all the drivers and put them in their appropriate location??

yes...thats all you do...i love those drivers...helped me utilize my AGP and get some kick *** FPS...

Sounds easy but they can cause problems I would install them but be careful and get ready to uninstall them

How DO you install them? I downloaded the 4-in-1 .zip file from Gigabyte, and when i unzipped it, it wouldn't fit on a floppy. It said it was 1.09MB, and my floppy said it had 1.38MB free, but I couldn't copy it or unzip it to a floppy. Is it alright to unzip it to a temp directory, then delete it later? I ended up just installing the drivers that came with my motherboard on the CD. I suppose I could use one of my 120MB Superdisk floppies instead of a 1.44MB floppy...

It's ok to install the entire 4 in 1 package even if you have an AMD760 chipset and a VIA southbridge?? The mobo is a AsusA7M266. THe board came with a driver CD that has the 4 in 1 Driver v.4.24 (2) Does the (2) mean that only 2 of the 4 in 1 drivers are to be installed? Thank ya...

Go to your MB's site and use the ver. they recommend, you can experiment with other ver.'s later, get it right first.

Asus' site doesn't seem to have any driver update for this particular board, but I've heard of some people installing the later 4 in 1 drivers without problems. I want maximum performance, just not sure which or what to install. Currently have the v4.24 drivers installed on my WIN98SE system. Also, cant seem to find an uninstall program or method for removing the 4 in 1- 4.31 drivers that are waiting to be installed

If you re-run the install for the 4in 1's it will give you the option to un-install them.

I compared the 4 in 1 drivers 4.24 and 4.31, and I get virtually no difference in scores with 3DMark2000and 2001 with my AsusA7M266 1.2 Ghz/266, Geforce2GTS/ 10.80 drivers Win98SE. SiSoft Sandra 2001 scores are pretty close too.
