When you install these drivers uncheck the box which enables default DMA and enable DMA manually after the drivers are installed. If you don't you might experience problem with the secondary IDE controller which supports the CD Rom drives.

Also install the AGP driver in Turbo mode to allow for 4X AGP. If you install it in standard mode you will only have 1X.

If you expreience any of these problems then use the installer to uninstall the drivers- restart- then install them again as explained above.

Are the VIA 4.32's just for VIA northbridge chipsets? On this new EPOX 8K7A it has the AMD761 chipset so I am not sure if I should install the 4.anything from VIA. Help me out here.

What kind of problems do you mean with the secondary IDE port? You mean drives not showing up? That's what happens to me. I run Win2k, and every time install with the win2000 IDE option checked (for all versions of 4in1 I ever used with win2k) I lose my burner. I have a CD-ROM (M) and burner (S) on the secondary IDE port, and I believe I lose my burner because it's a PIO device (2x2x6x).
As for the hard drives. No problems at all.

When i try to enable turbo mode my system seems to freez after start up. my mouse will be able to move but nothing else. powerstrip says my video card supports agp4x and fastwrites but tells me to check the GART driver. I have a geforce 2 and fastwrites and agp4x are enabled in my bios ,anyone know what the problem might be? ty

I had a similar problem and installing the VIA driver's in safe mode seemed to solve them.

Can you guys please help me out. I am doing a clean install of Win2K Pro and I just received my KK266 mobo. I've downloaded the latest 4in1 drivers. What do I need to do (stepwise) in terms of getting this mobo stable and up to date. Remember, I have no OS as of yet...

1. load BIOS defaults?
2. disable ACPI in BIOS
3. clean install Win2K
4. update 4in1 drivers?

what steps do i do in between and what do I disable? I don't know how to get into safe mode for Win2K either...
