I have a Asus A7V133 motherboard and I bought a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live Value card and after about 5 minutes the computer would freeze.reboot.freeze.reboot.freeze you get the idea I am wondering if my mb has the 686b chip that is giving people so many problems. And if I don't have it could it just be a bad card or could it be the motherboard?

yeah you are probably correct see if you mobo company has a new bios to solve the problem. Iwill fixed the problem with their latest bios. I don't know if it it the 686b chip causes the problems with the SB might be the IDE problem with the chip too. Were you transfering large files?

The A7V133 does have the 686b chip. See page 12 & 13 item #16. What bios rev are you using? The latest is 1004.

It might also help if you switched slots for the SB card.
