From the review it just can't take the amount of heat output when overclocked and ends up performing worst then the stock AMD heatsink.

Man that thing gets awesome idle temps, but the load temps is what killed the rating. Thats just an aweful load temp.

It'd be cool to mod one of those TECs onto an SI-120 or something if possible, along with a monster fan.

Bleh, it appears that they just added a peltier to a cheap heatsink and jacked up the price. If it can't even outperform a stock heatsink when OC'ed at load, what's the point...

Pelts were good for overclocking CPUs like Celeron 300. Today they could be eventually used for low-end graphics cards. If you want to go extreme - try bong or phase change. Pelt coolers are simply wrong. Perhaps it'll chnage when "next gen pelts" are out, but I heard about them long time ago and so far - no info about them appearing in stores.

Yea too much power consumption to cool the uberclocked latest CPUs.
