vinyl help

alright.. i got 3/8 and i need it to fit on 1/2 fiiting..
so i put a cup of water in the microwave.. steaming hot..


dip the end of the vinyl for a few min,, and a push so hard onto the barbs and do wutever but i can't get it down far enough..

help?

I had no problem fitting 3/8s over 1/2...

then again, I used a heat gun. I also didn't try and get it ALL the way down.

If you can, find something that is fairly heat resistant that is slightly larger then 3/8 fitting. Heat the tubing as you were, and proceed to put whatever you find in tubing, then let it sit, and pull it out, it should be shapped like the piece you shoved in. Keep going up in size until it fits over the 1/2 fitting.

I did this to fit a 1/2 hose over the inlet of my Maxi-Jet.

Or, use a hair dryer and keep trying to force it down.

how much of the tubing did you heat up in the water? cuz u should heat up a little more then the length of the barb. then put a little sope all around the barb and force that tubing on there.

the prob is that the tubing gets to soft for me to force it in...

stretch the first part on and then grip it by the part that is on and PUSH as hard as you can.

got some super a33 super fuken hot a33 water... and burned up my hands... but making progress

just gonna run a 1/2 and 3/8 tube setup...

my pump, tee, core, all are 1/2 inch..
my block is 3/8
