VisionTek geforce3, should i o/c or not

hi guys, iam having a little trouble wether i should permanently o/c my Visiontek gf3 or not. I have try to o/c the card, it went up to 230/515 stable with stock cooling(i have add artic silver 2 but hsf is still stock). but iam afraid of the long term effect of the card(talking about a 12 months here ). I heard some people's card died after a few months because of o/c. and I have considered adding a cheap socket A heatsink for the gpu with Artic silver adhedsive if I ever o/c my card permanently.

Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.

I had a PNY GeForce 3, and I o/c'd it to Ti500 Speeds, Ran Rock Solid no matter what I did to it. I had it in my PC your 1 yr, With stock cooling (heatsink has NEVER been off), to this day it still works in my Daughters' PC.....

GF3 Stock clock: 200/460
GF3 TI500 stock clock:240/500
