Without being too paranoid.... my +12 voltage spiked down to around 9 volts twice today and my +3.3 droped down to 2 volts on my week old motherboard. Is this the begining of a problem or normal in usage?
thanks,
Greg

Umm, YEAH! You need a higher wattage PSU if you are getting THAT low on the +12. Good LORD! I have never seen it dip that low before. Post some pics!

ok, I got it recording now, Ill post as soon as it happens again
thanks!

What are the rest of the system specs? I'd be surprised if 300W isn't enough - it's more likely that the psu is just dying - is it old? If it were anything less than 300W I would suspect that it was underpowered, but unless you're running loads of hard drives/cd drives or whatever it should be enough...

Actually, I believe that the 300W Premier PSU's are very cheap and low performing. The local retailer around here only sells these things, so I own two. My newly arrived A7M266 will not give me a video signal, I believe the problem is my PSU.

My Enlight case came with a Premier 300W PSU. It would not hold regulation well with my 650 Tbird @ 998 Mhz @ 2.00V. Admittedly, it was not as erratic as yours, but nonetheless, not acceptable. So, I put it on the shelf as a spare and got an Antec 400W unit. It holds its own with my 1.0G running 1524 @ 2.00V. According to Radiate.exe, that is 100W on the CPU alone.
