Well, I don't know if anyone has tried this before, but I did the voltage mod on my KT7-E as per recommendation of Tweakhardware (ground to voltage regulator). It works great!

Congratulations on a successful mod. Did you use the 30K resistor? I am aware of several KT7Es that will not boot with a 20K. That's why I always recommend a trimmer.

I actually didn't have a 30k resistor, the highest was a 14k. I tried the 14k (for the fun of it :)) but it wouldn't boot. So, I wired 3 10k's together. That only gives me a maximum voltage of 2.01v, so I think next week I am going to wire the 14k and 10k together for 24k.

Just go to the Shack and get a 47k trimmer for 49 cents. Then you can go to Via Hardware monitor and dial in what ever voltage you want until the over voltage protection kicks in. To get much further than 2.1 volts you will need a trimmer between Pin 10 and ground of the HIP6301CB.

I'm kinda scared to go too much more than 2.1v (I'm doing 2.01v right now), especially with aircooling as I am right now. Maybe once I do watercooling, I will consider it. Once I get my T-Bird, I will have to see JUST how many volts you can put into one of these little Durons :).
