I did the mod today. It’s simple if you have any electronics background, less than five minutes once the board is on your bench. I would recommend ditching the wire leads mentioned in the AMD Zone article and soldering the resistors directly to the pad and transistor. I covered the resistors with heat shrink tubing. There is only one problem, it had no effect on my board. Note this is a very new board, about two weeks old. It still peaks out at 1.85 volts. Perhaps there has been a production change that renders this mod useless.
I have another KT7-R that peaks out at 1.92 volts when set to 1.85 volts. This board is about three months old. As soon as I replace the capacitor I damaged on it, I will try the voltage mod again.
