I am setting up a system for my little brother, and will be putting a banshee in it. WHat drivers should I use? Anyone know about using V3/4/5 drivers on the Banshee? Also, how well does this card work under Win2K? I would like to use it, but will use Win98SE if the Banshee sucks under Win2K

I have a Banshee reference board and I used the drivers that are still available at 3dfx.com. they will work fine. I don't think you can run voodoo3 drivers on the banshee. you got a 16mb card? sometimes I would have to boot twice with the drivers but it was a free card and ran UT nicely so I used it for a couple of months and was very stable.

Just go here www.3dfx.com/downloads.htmdescription and get them. You might not be able to run games that require Direct-X 7.0a or later. My buddy had a banshee and wanted to play a game called "I'm going in". It ran on Direct-X 7.0a and he had version 7.0. We installed version 7.0a & ver .8.0 , After loading them...no game that ran off direct-X would work. Open GL games and glide games worked perfectly though.

I want to know if anyone has used Voodoo3 drivers with the banshee, I read that this could be done. The cards are esentially the same, but the V3 is clocked higher.
