has anybody heard about the voodoo 3500 having trouble going on stanby mode? I'm sure it's the video card cause that's the only thing i have on the system on a fresh install. I just upgraded but the card was doing the same thing on my old comp too.

don't know if it helps but here is my specs.
Athlon 850 (not overclocked....yet)
a7v133a mobo
256 ram
voodoo3500
soundblaster live value

I used to have a Voodoo 3500 but gave me a lot of headaches. First I had a compatibility problem with my new (then) mobo an Iwill VD130 with VIA chipset. I had to replace the mobo with a BD100+ with Intel chipset. Then I had lots of problems, all traced back to the drivers.

My first advice will be to get the latest drives for the Voodoo. You still can go to the 3dfx site to get the drivers (I think the last ones were from March 2000 and the latest beta were from June 2000, but I don't remember).

I would also sugest to upgrade your card. Many people still love 3dfx and the 3500 combo card (video card and TV/FM card). I sold my 1 year card for $250 and bought a Hercules 3d Prophet II GTS Pro for $300. A good deal.
