I downloaded it unpacked it and when I tried to install it I got this error:

"Unable to load the correct version configuration file - defualts will be used."

after clicking ok I get this error "Unable to load device driver"

To bad :( hope they work the bug out soon ..

I just unzipped all the files into a directory. I got the same error, which is since there isn't such a file until you configure it. Clicking on the executable brought it up and it ran fine for me.

There was some info in the text file about the SMBus and a recommendation that you don't have any monitoring programs running while you use it, but MBM 5 didn't seem to bother it, even though I didn't halt it as they recommend.

Tim,

Do you know if the folks at bp6.com are working on other Abit board FSB solutions?

Thanks.

No I can't say I do. I do have a clock generator plugin for SoftFSB that's supposed to work for the VP6 if it will help you.

No, I have the SA6 and don't seem to be able to get Soft FSB to work with it. Only CPU Cool will.

On a similar vein, I wonder why no one has programmed changing core voltage from Windows (with the exception of MSI for their own motherboards).

There is a utility floating around that will allow it on BF6/BH6 MBs but I haven't seen it for any others. What clock chip does the SA6 use?

Just to clarify. This program only runs in Windows nt and Windows 2000 correct?

This may be the reason I had troubles. I was trying to install it under windowsME.

Ya ya I know I should be using Win2k but I only have 1 cpu so.....

Yes- there's no support for "single processor only" operating systems. None of the 95/98 variants support SMP so I guess the author didn't consider it worth the time.

I have a plug in for SoftFSB for the VP6 and it will run under 98. Let me know if you need it.
