Earlier today I found my client sitting there displaying:

Nothing has been happening. I restarted this [Windows] machine, the client is still waiting for idle. The work queue is at "ready" status.


Thoughts?
 
O.K., found the "Folding Power" slider slid all the way left to "Light". Restored it to "Full", don't know how that happened, but I'm hoping it's a fix.
 
Your not the 1st and you won't be the last to have that happen, weird thing happen all the time.:)
 
I'm gald that you found the solution. What name are you folding under?

Try deleting the cores folder and let the client get new ones.

I had a similar issue with WU's failing as soon as they start and redownloading the cores fixed it.
 
Well, the issue seems to have resolved overnight, is folding normally now. The installed video driver is 365.19, I checked that issue first since there was a recent Windows update, and even though I have the Update settings as "download but let me choose" the possibility that I might overlook something still exists.

Still a client v7 noob here, how does one delete the core? In C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient? Hmmm, I don't see any likely choices there....
 
Yeah just literally delete the entire "cores" folder. It'll get new ones automatically
 
To dump a WU in V7, you could just delete the folding slot then remake it.
Another way is open Windows Explorer (File Explorer in Win 10) Go to C:\Users\User Name\Roaming\FAHClient\Cores You should see the core folders or work folder. <--this works for Win 7 and up
