Wake up on Timer

OK heres the problem, I want my computer to wake up at a given time everyday, so I set it in the bios.

It failed for 7 days

Took another look at the manual and it says something about it the OS shuts down the PC then the Wake up on LAN/Timer/Coms are eactivated!!

Any idea how to stop the OS for doing this??

Don't shut it down but put it in sleep mode.
