war games

I love the Medal of Honor series and Call of Duty. Any other single person first person shooter war games available that are close to that "caliber"? I'm not into the multiplayer only games. Doesn't have to be just WWII.

By multiplayer only do you mean Battlefield 1942? It has a campaign mode, but it's not much different from the multiplayer mode. Battlefield is a really good game, though, so maybe you should at least try it.

I've heard Viet Cong is good. A Vietnam era FPS. Not too many of those.

I also liked Soldier of Fortune 2. It's quite bloody, but some pretty decent action.

Yep, I have SOF2, great game and so was Return to Wolfenstein. Black Hawk Down was pretty good too.

Kind of forgot that BF1942 had a single player mode. I downloaded a buggy single player BF demo at the time it was first released and that soured me. Maybe I should give it another chance?

Viet Cong is single player? I thought it was mainly a multiplayer?

Sure wish they'd do a Call of Duty expansion pack like the MOHAA Breakthrough and Spearhead.

Why doesn't anyone do a FPS action Civil War game? That would be really awesome!

Same here bro! I've been watching that one for months, the iron sights on BIA are the most realistic to date IMHO.

Some people are getting tired of the WWII FPS genre, but if they keep making improvements, I won't be tired any time soon

Ghost Recon is another great game. Very detailed. More of a tactical shooter.
