i just got my setup done, got a becooling block and a becooling radiator (the big one) and i am at like 52-54c idle? could the hold down be to loose, its the lexan one with springs?? what else? and thats at stock 1333

you will have to make sure its sitting perfectly flat on the CPU can you rock it gently? can you feel if its sitting on all the way? or maybe does it push down a little and then stop. i hope not but it would give you an idea on why your temps are so high but this is just a start. you do have the rite amount of water circulation not to fast and not to slow? a good thermal compound? if you have springs holding it down make sure that your hoses are not pulling at the waterblock thus pulling your waterblock off of the CPU a little. when you touch the water block when its running at 50C is the waterblock hot to the touch?

i have the right amount of water, the pump is 290 gpa, the block is not hot at all when its at 52c, i think its the hoses pullin the block from the chip, ill have to check that out.... how tight these springs supposed to be all the way down??? would a shim help?? the shim i got was really cheap lookin so i dint use it,
