I have about a half gallon of distilled water in a container and I want to add the water wetter to it, how much should I put in?

I have used differing amounts of water wetter, between 1 tablespoon per gallon to 4 fl. oz. per gallon, and they all seem to work about the same for corrosion protection.

However, I have found that Dex-Cool antifreeze works better for corrosion protection than water wetter.

I added 1 oz to the half gallon. The system is full now, but it doesn't really have any color to it. It might have been diluted a bit by the distilled water all ready in the heatercore. If I add enough to the water to give it a pink tint, will it hurt performance?
