Try altering PCI dividers. At a 142 FSB you will probably have a PCi divider of 1/4 = 35.5MHz.
Change this to, say, 1/5 and you will get 28.4MHz. Pretty rubbish, but increase the FSB to 166 and you will get 33MHz.

how exactly do i change my divider and my ram wont hit 166fsb

If the mobo supports changing dividers, there will be an option in the BIOS.

ive looked before and am told my board does (8kha+ newest beta bios)

I would assume you have a book about your motherboard or a faq on a cd rom. Read it. If not, go to the Epox homepage and download it/read it from there. This will give you important information. It might seem like a waste of time, but it will also answer a lot of the questions you will have in the future also.

Reminds me, I should read mine...

I know nothing about its BIOS. Check out the manual or website for the mobo, and/or check out the Epox section of the AMD motherboards forum.

Which brand hd is best for overclocking?
From what I read ( and that is a lot) I would suggest an IBM. These are supposed to be good in overclocking . Please, do correct me if I'm wrong.

I also have the Epox 8KHA+ motherboard. Yes, the divider changed automatically. No, you can't go above 1/4. That's the highest you can go.

I also have a WD 40gig HDD and my FSB is at 150. I'm not having any problems with it. My PCI bus is 38MHz.

What is the average voltage that's going to your dimm? Adding .4 is a jump, isn't it? And, this is giving you hdd problems?
