Weird System Restarting Problem.

I use Windows XP Pro. When I go to my Network Connections, and try to disable my Local Area Connection, my system automatically restarts.

Anyone know why this happens and how to fix this problem?

Hmm have you scanned for any virus', i never heard of this happening.

Doesn't seem like a virus problem, just Windoze acting retarded. When was the last time you've had a fresh install?

What motherboard and network card are you using? It could possibly be a bad driver. Try to get the latest drivers for you network card, then boot into safe mode (reboot, hit F8 real quick before the WinXP screen comes up, choose safe mode without networking), uninstall the old driver, install the new one, then give it a go again. Hopefully that'll do the trick (if not, at least you upgraded your NIC drivers. )
