what are good fans to get for a new pc? i am planning to get a new mobo and i need some new fans, with my new case that i am going to get. im looking at the Abit NF7-S, and i need some high quality fans so i can get a decent oc.

im running a 5|-|17y 1.5 wally, and i want to upgrade to oc and so i can play some decent games. my plan is to get an Abit NF7-S AMD DDR MB with Athlon XP 2600+ (2.13Ghz) 333FSB CPU & Fan. well that is a good 200 bucks. and i dont have that kind of money lieing around

If you dont care about noise go for vantec tornados. If you do care about noise but still want performance go for Vantec Stealths or Panaflos.

Thermaltake Smart Fan 2's are also good and mix between the 2 because there adjustable.

Yeah i would go with The Smart Fan just becuase you can ajust them to what speed you want. And they are easy Reliable and just fun to play with. They also add more of a look that your in controle of your computer speed.

vantec tornados push more air than any other fan in thier size
but sound like hair dryers. LOUD i have one on my CPU heat sink and it's about to go bye bye to LOUD

I don't recommend the SF2, as its sound is terribly annoying to my ears. Yes, it can be turned down, but in order to truly minimize its grating sound, it has to be attenuated to the point where its not very effective at cooling. If you decide to try a fan with adjustable speed, Enermax and YS-Tech both offer very good products.
