what causes HDD corruption at high FSB spee

I've had a problem with my motherboard hitting 150fsb, and someone suggested it's probably my HDD - Brand new Maxtor 80G QuietDrivethe one with fluid berings). Hope that helps?

i cant seem to get over like 175... with a 1/5 divider. if OCULD be my ram but.... i get "umountable somthing or other eror" or a missing file... sometimes it comes back if i lower HDD again
