what do you guys think about this monitor?

im purchasing this monitor:

AOC 7f 17" crt

is this a good monitor?

It's pretty decent, however.......
Newegg has the Same Monitor for only $98 and also, the Viewsonic E70F+SB is $129, (only $2 more than what Amazon.com sells the AOC for), and IMO would be a better buy than the AOC.

Also, the Samsung 753DF @ $115 would be a decent buy as well, but they have been known to give trouble in terms of image quality to some.

the one from amazon has free shipping and no tax. i was looking at it because of its dimentions.

Well, with the free shipping and lack of tax, it does look quite a bit better, and probably the best quality you can get at that price.
If you're willing to pay around $20 more, the Viewsonic I mentioned previously is also available with free shipping, but the AOC looks to be a pretty good buy.
