I'm going to pick up a i7-920 at micro-center tomorrow, and I hear a lot of people say get a "d0". What is that and how do i know if i have one?

SLBEJ is the D0 stepping code on the box under the "Spec Code:" on the Intel box packaging. Look for that on the outside of the box to ensure you have a D0 stepping.

SLBCH is the C0 stepping.

The chance of you getting a C0 at MC is probably pretty slim. D0's have been out awhile, so any company that sells 920's regularly should only have D0's. Since MC has the cheapest 920's, they probably sell a lot.

It's short for D0PE, which is what you'll be getting vs C0, which is short for C0PE, which is what most people do if they get one.
