Hi, I have a FuturePower 400watt power supply. My motherboard is an ASUS A7A266. It came with software called PC Probe. In this software, it can show me the voltages of my computer.

Every so often, the +12V will drop down to around 2.9V and then back up again. This happens very quickly and the value jumps back up to around 12V.

The computer seems not to miss a beat.

Has anyone else noticed this type of behavior, and if so, is it normal? What could be causing it?

Thanks

I have the asus a7v133, and I use PC Probe as well. I had a similiar problem when I ran MBM5 (Motherboard manager 5) and PC Probe simultaneously. Basically, in PC probe, my +/-12v lines would go to like 3v, my 5's would drop to 2, for a split second every few minutes or so. This ONLY happened when I had the two programs running simultaneously, and always happened upon startup. Nothing was ever wrong, as MBM5 would not report the same results. I figure it was just an incompatibility with PC probe and other PC heath software.

I think you are on to something. I also have the two programs running at the same time. I will see what happens when I close MBM5.

Thanks,

Joe
