What happened!? Problem with old P2 box

Last night the machine worked fine, I took the case off, hoovered some of the dust, and put it back together again. (It was supposed to be formatted today).

This morning, I can't boot at all! It powers on, but not signal reaches the monitor, and there is no hard disk activity. I haven't yet done a proper inspection, I just wondered if anyone had any advice on obvious things to look at.
I feel so stupid for not even knowing where to start, especially seeing as I didn't think I'd changed anything. Anyway, help appreicated.

Hmm.. any beep codes at all? Fans all spin up? Monitor plugged in correctly?

Are the caps on the mobo leaking or bulging? If so that's your problem.

Hi thank you both very much, I haven't been able to try anything else with the machine, and it has now been taken away to be repaired/whatever(!).

There were accounts and other important files remaining on the hd it now emerges, so I'm not sure it's a good idea for me to go fiddling with it, especially not being too confident.

PS, there were no beeps AT ALL. Hence reading http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=266936 didn't help much, and I looked at tables of beep codes, but there was no information about NO beeps. what does this mean? or is it that there are too many reason this could be? thank you again!
