I have a HP 9870 with a P4 1300. I dont plan on overclocking it but in the back it feels like a heat vent when you put your hand to it. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a good fan similar to the thermosonic fan for the P4. Unfortunately the bios doesnt give the temp, and I know that the P4 has a weird 1/2 speed 'feature' when it starts to overheat. I am using Redhat 7.1 instead of windows and the heat thing is even when it is idle without X running. also I have noticed that the RDram gets kinda hot and has stickers on it with the heat disclaimer. Is there such thing as a ram fan? Thanks for any insight on my problem.

heatsinks for the P4 are $$$
i think the best one is the swiftech MC 462
you would have to order it over the web...
not many people own P4's and because of that not many coolers are around for them. and the ones that are doo, like i said cost a fair amount.

Also your warenty may be void by simply changing the cooler in your setup, check with that first as OEMs dont like people to change anything in the box
