Because water cooling makes little sense now that air is so good and AIOs dominate the market.

Bykski makes lots of ok blocks.

None that look anywhere as nice as the HeatKiller...what makes little sense is that the entire HeatKiller line is not available anywhere.

Edit: I had to go directly to WaterCool in Germany to find one...on the way. (y) Going in this next build...

I'll be reusing my EK on the AM5, but as a precaution, I got Noctua to send me the AM5 hardware for my NH-D15 if I decide to go air

Feels too late, but am4 fits am5... so any of those that fit am4 would work on am5.

Keep us posted on the build!!

It will be replacing my current daily pc which has become rather boring to look at 24/7. Going to try one of the Intel Arc B580's and see how it fares in a Fortnite scenario while being a little more interesting to view in the long term. I'll create a build thread when parts begin to roll in.

Just for myself I have found nothing outside of the HeatKiller's that interest me in the least when it comes to eye appeal. I've done no testing on my part, but it is my understanding that the HeatKiller series performance ranks very high in this market. Simple. elegant, classy.

It performs well but isn't anywhere high on the list compared to the latest top models from some other brands. It maybe doesn't matter much as we talk about 2-3C in most cases. However, they keep the same model for 4-5 years. At least the mounting bracket could be improved.
When I see the copper one, I think about fingerprints/stains. It looks good in pictures, but have to watch out when installing it.

I already own two of them and have never experienced any fingerprints or staining, but then how often does anyone have a need to actually touch one after install lol. I use thermal pads because it would be a pita to disassemble/drain these things once a year just for a re-paste. Same reason I use full strength antifreeze for coolant. Probably not optimal, but it just works for me.

Check out the Thermaltake W8 or W9 blocks. I have one for my 5950X, works very well.
