I just built my parents a new PC and I took possession of their old one. It has an ABIT BE6 slot 1 motherboard in it with like a 366 celery chip.

I don't think its a version 2, but I was wondering what kind of chiop would be best to get for this system, would a slot 1 P3 1000 work?

Anyways, your help is appreciated.

thanks,

Leo

Yes, you can install a 1GHz 133FSB chip in the original BE6 and it'll work fine. You might even get a mild OC using the 140FSB setting, but mine (I had 2 of them) were unstable at 150FSB, though the BE6-II was stable at higher speeds. :)
