what is the max voltage for P4 that will give your P4 a good lifespan ( at least 2 year ) running 24-7 overclocked say 2.53G to 3.5Ghz.

You'll get a plethora of answers on this one, but personally I'd stick to less than 1.7 for long term use.

This is asked a lot, but no sticky about it. I posted a pretty detailed explanation of what happens to the CPU at high voltages, some suggested it be a sticky but it wasn't made into one. Anyway, the general rule is no more than 10% of you default voltage for any processor. For the NW P4s 1.7V actual (not what you set in the BIOS, but what your health monitor reads) should be your absolute max.

The title is asking for the safest voltage. That would be default voltage. The max long term is about 1.7v like everyone said. The more you run above default, the better your cooling should be.
