I'm trying to understand some threads in which ppl are talking about their VID readings in core temp. How is this info useful, what is it?

I have a stable overclock at 3.75GHz(9x417) at 1.328 vCore. My VID in core temp is 1.1125v.

If someone can explain or point me in the right direction that would be great.
Thanks.

for me coretemp's "vid" has nothing to do with the chips actual VID, the bios setting, or the current vcore as reported by everest, hwmonitor, and cpu-z (which all agree)

like right now at stock speed at voltage with c1e and eist on @ idle cpu-z 1.136 coretemp 1.0375. VID is 1.225

VID is the votlage that CPU will reach when fulload at default clock-speed but there 's some CPU can run higher clock less volttage than VID.
